Athletics Reflection

Yesterday we had a school athletics day. We got some questions emailed to us from our teachers. They are to help us reflect on our athletics day. Here they are:
  • Athletics Reflection:
    • What was the most enjoyable part of athletics for you? Why? Hurdles because hurdles are always my favourite rotation when I jump over them it feels a bit like I'm flying. I also enjoyed looking around the track and seeing everyone enjoying themselves and trying their hardest.
    • What are you really proud of? Why? I am really proud of coming 3rd in discus because I have never achieved that before.
    • What was the most challenging part? Why? The most challenging part was when I was doing shot put because I didn't throw the ball properly and so I pushed my self harder and did it.
    • Where to now? What are your goals for next time? To try harder in the sprint, because I didn't try to hard to do it and so I didn't get in.
    • Why do you want to focus on this? Because I believe that I can do better, by training a bit.

Market Day Phrases

Lately for ET Reo we have been making learning resources so that people can use Maori words for market day and not just English I worked in my prep group and we made a video please excuse the ending. This is our video:

Bookapedia Term 4

This term in Bookapedia we have all had the same goals. What were our goals you might ask? Well they were:
- help others to understand my opinion by including evidence
  and examples
- building on someone else’s idea by starting with “I
- making generalisations such as “All...” “Most…” “Some..”  “No/Never…”

We have a new slide and new book buddies my new book buddy is wonderful Devin. Here is my slide:

PrEP - Market Day

Have you ever had a market day at your school?
We just had one on friday and oh man was it exciting let me tell you about it.

When we started doing PrEP we had to get into groups of 3. In that group of three we had to have someone who could do the maths, someone who could organize everyone and someone who could keep track of the money. We also had to choose a teacher to be our coach we choose Troy. My group was made up of me Abby and Emma. Our first idea was making cupcakes but our coach (Troy) convinced us the making cupcakes wasn't creative enough and so we ditched that idea and searched for another one. Finally we found an idea on Pintrest a candy cane Christmas tree:
We created a slide that we kept most of our info on here it is:

Maths Test

Today we got the results of our PAT test. I got 32 out of 35. My weakness is being rushed and then I was so worried about checking the end ones that I didn't check the first ones. My strengths are Geometry/ Measurement and statistics. Here is my sheet:

This term for maths we have been doing an inquiry Abby and I partnered up we decided that our topic would be Average Auckland house prices compared with Average Palmerston North house prices we created a slide which we kept most of the information on, enjoy!

Convicing Writing

Troy showed us some headphones and then told us we had to make a story about our own Legendary headphones that everyone had to buy. We had to come up with our own name for the headphones mine are called GROOVERS. The story had to be so convincing that someone had to buy them. I think I did reasonably well with my convincing story because someone has said that they would by them. Here is my story, would you buy them?
